The Chemical Looping with Oxygen Uncoupling (CLOU) process is a derivative technology of the Combustion (CLC) for combustion both renewable and non-renewable solid fuels. present work studies CO2 capture efficiency burning coal or biomass using single Cu-based oxygen carrier magnetic properties as an carrier. two different coals three biomasses was performed in 1.5 kWth CLOU continuously operated unit 36 h. were also studied after its separation from ashes. Complete fuel to H2O achieved all cases. For coals, increased reactor temperature, reaching values 97% at 900 °C. same increase obtained biomasses. highest pine sawdust, which value 93%, followed by almond shell (86%) olive stone (80%) reactivity remained constant use continuous one small attrition jet index (AJI) value. used particles found still be fresh particles, fines highly magnetic. Values higher than 99% reached. It therefore proven that elutriated plant could easily separated ash.
